Kathmandu- Bhaktapur

Imagen
Bhakatapur is an old city very near to Kathmandu, only one hour by local bus. Bus can be taken near the Official Tourist office in Kathmandu and cost only 20 rupees We went caused according to the guide it is one of the World heritage sites listed by Unesco so we though it would be good to see. First I thought it was only a temple and when I saw the price to enter (1100 rupees) I decided to stay outside in internet instead while Johan was coming in. I was tired of temples. Then he called me and say it was a whole city which was a different history and I got curious so I decided to enter. It was worthy, here are some of the picts

Trekking 10th day Gora Tabela- Shyapri Besi

Imagen
10th and last day Gora Tabela- Shyapri Besi This was a very bad day that already started bad. In the breakfast they will not let us to recharge the mobile and we found excessive prices for some items in the menu, like a difference of one euro for jam in your toast.. We left that guest house and went to the one down which was a lot more reasonable and did not have any big whole in the shower either. I was already in bad mood for all that. We started the trekking. In the middle we stopped near Lama hotel and meet a French guy who was doing trekking with his son (who was farther ahead, similar to Johan I though hihi). He told us there was an alternative way to go to Shyapri Besi, a new way with nice views but a bit longer. I did not want to walk longer and I was a bit scared that we will lose our way or something will happened and we will not get on time to Shyapri Besi. Johan thought it would be nice to do the alternative way instead of doing the same again (actually make sense

Lantang Trekk. 9th day Kyanjing Gompa- Gora Tabela

9 th day Kyanjing Gompa- Gora tabela The day before, Johan and I happily agreed that he would wake up earlier than me, climb one mountain on that village Tserko Ri of 4984 (6 hours in total up and down) and then joined me in Gora Tabela. Me, on the other hand, had no plans of climbing that and then walk four hours more to Gora Tabela since the pain on my legs had not still disappeared. I thought I would go to Gora Tabela on my own pace, since I was a bit slower while going down, and join him there. When I woke up he was gone, he went at 5 to have time to do all his marathon and took my camera with him. These are some of the pictures of him  in the top of the mountain, you can see how happy he felt by his face Some picts of the view from there He said it was very hard and steap especially going down where he felt five times. Me, on the other hand, woke up at 6 which was not strange because we went to bed at 8 pm (usual time in our trekk) and as

Lantang Trekk. 8th day Lantang-Kyajing Gumpa

8 th day Lantang-Kyajing Gumpa 8 km 400mt climbing 2hours This was a short way of 2 hours that was what I need since the pain in my legs was higher.  I did it very slow and was nice cause was a beautiful beautiful way..the best for me of the whole trekk. The way between this two villages is, and I might not exaggerate..like a way to heaven, if there is any paradise it is something like that (and this is literally what I thought while walking here) Kyajing Gumpa is a wonderful village, again between mountains, much higher mountains than Lantang with snowy peaks, cows pasting around, horses running..again like the end of the paradise. I was happy to arrive early and after doing our regular check of houses and stayed in “lovely lodge” we took the rest of the day, only one in the whole trek, to rest, walk around, have coffee etc I particularly needed a day off after such a hard work, and again not exaggerating “hard work”

Lantang Trekking.7th day Bamboo-Lantang

Imagen
7 th day  Bamboo-Lantang 1400 mt climbing and 17 km walking..around 9 hours.. Next morning we were in a very happy mood and maybe for the fight next day we match each other pace on the walk of that day as never before. I was faster and he was slower and have to say we manage to cover a great distance with a great elevation too (and I did not complain in the whole day keeping always my smile) We said our “middle trek crisis” was over :) We passed by Lama hotel, a famous village there and only stopper for a coffe..that was supposed to be one of our stops in our initial plan We stopped at Godatabela for lunch. A nice place between the mountains with only two lodges. We stopped at the second that gave us a higher discount on the menu food (and asked us not to tell to her neighbourd) but later I will find out that menu in this place was also more expensive. In any case, food was good, and we have a deserved break of almost two hours before continui

Lantang trekk 6th day- Laurebina Yak- Bamboo

Lantang trekk 6th day- Laurebina Yak- Bamboo 1700 mtrs descending. 8 hours. We start descending everything we previously climb. We started early and going down down through mountain, getting into a bit of forest again and nice prairies. This is one image we saw on the way...according to the budism culture it is the union of wisdom and compassion..nothing else that might cross your mind eh? After five hours descending we had a big lunch at Thulo syabra one quite “big” village, the biggest we have seen since Chisopani probably since almost all villages. So far they were just three of four guest houses in the middle of nowhere..this was a "proper" village, more than just a bunch of guest houses, with and school even.. All went fine so far between Johan and me until lunch, we had small tension with our difference of paces while walkin g which continued. I had softly suggested on the days before that maybe
